You may experience this from a shortage o just plain. What you can do on most tv`s including old CRT models is to open up the back panel of the tv (must be removed from power socket) and on the motherboard you should see a ceramic or glass fuse. Just replace it, in most cases it is 110-120, 220-250 V depending on region with F 3.15 A (amps). Regarding this you should check the service manual for safety for you and the product.
